The objects and purposes of the corporation shall be to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening among the general public in horticultural and botanical subjects, to aid in the protection of native flora, to encourage the beautification of public streets, parks, arboreta, and other places open to the public by appropriate means, including the gift of plants and funds, and to assist scientific and botanical research and the publication of the results thereof by appropriate means, including gift or loan of plants, books, and other research material and funds.

Our contributions to the community span the 84 years of our existence and we continue to seek out new projects and events in which to invest our knowledge, energy, and funds.

Founded in 1930, the Garden Club of Honolulu was admitted to the Garden Club of America in 1932.
