The Silk Road was a network of ancient
caravan routes that opened commerce between the great civilizations of the
East and West. It crossed deserts, mountains, and the steppe lands of
Central Asia to the Mediterranean and the port cities of Constantinople and
Venice.
Entries in Flower Arranging, Horticulture,
Photography and Jewelry (designed and made from dried plant material) will
interpret the mysteries of the civilizations and terrain of The Silk Road.
Cover Design: Depicts the leaves of the
White Mulberry, Morus alba, which is native to China and has been an
integral part of silk producction for thousands of years.
