A Sensei Retreat

Join us on a mini holoholo to the stunning new Sensei Retreat in gorgeous Ko’ele on Lanai. All activities in accordance to the prevailing covid-19 restorations. A chance to get off Oahu without going to Honolulu International Airport!

We will fly the quick  20 minutes on a Lanai Air luxury private turbo plane (maximum 8 passengers per plane, but there are several planes that can take off within minutes of each other) to be whisked by the resort’s Mercedes van to the magnificent Sensei- Lanai. 

Activities include: guided tours of the verdant tropical gardens; visits to state-of-the-art hydroponic farms; a cooking class; docent-led tours of the priceless works of art and astonishing sculptures. (What does the apple have to do with it all?) Love Lanai cultural advisors will educate us on the island’s rich cultural heritage and pineapple history. 

In addition, we’ll make an excursion to the magnificent 5-diamond Manele Four Seasons Resort for a docent tour of the lush grounds, beach time, or a tour of the incredible Pacific artwork collection. Following lighting of the torches and a traditional mele, enjoy sunset cocktails and dinner at your choice of world’s renown cliff-side Nobu Restaurant or pool-side Malibu Farms Restaurant, featuring locally sourced food. Bring your camera! 

Each morning you’ll have your choice of an exercise class or a moderate hike. There will also be plenty of leisure time to enjoy a swim in the beautiful black bottom pool, relax in a luxuriant whirlpool hot tub, or perhaps a soak in the secluded, heated Oban pool nestled amid lush garden foliage. Any or all of these before you head out for more activities. Perhaps a round of  “putt out” golf (clubs available at the hotel). More possibilities (with additional charges) include an electric bike journey or a van tour of the island, horseback riding, massages, and much more.

Roundtrip airfare:  Included in room rate! 

Room rate: $ 650 plus tax, so under $750. Can be split with a girlfriend to be $375/night per person.

Meals and drinks: less than $100 a day

Tips: at your discretion (estimate  $25 a day)  

Extra Activity: Varies. Electric bike or van tour – less than $100 

Covid- 19 test: $125 

So a guesstimate is $1500- $2,000 for three nights and four fun filled days with girlfriends.
