Tim Kroessig and Katie Hachmeister, Lyon Arboretum Horticulturists, will cover the
basics of selection, construction, mounting, and maintenance of plants, growing on
untraditional substrates, such as rocks, wreaths, and wooden planks. Participants will
listen to an informal presentation, view, demonstration, and get a chance to construct
their own living rock to take home and enjoy. Making living art can be a
rewarding way to Garden with limited space, and can also serve as a great handmade
gift for friends and family. Limited to 12 participants. Cost $40.
