Every three years, The Garden Club of Honolulu invites the public to it’s major Flower Show. The purposes of a flower show are to:
- promote standards of artistic and horticultural excellence;
- broaden knowledge of horticulture, floral design, conservation, photography and related disciplines; and
- share the beauty of a show with fellow members, members of the Garden Club of America and with the public.
In addition to beautiful Floral, Horticultural, Photography, and Botanical and Needle Arts exhibits, the Aina Momona educational exhibit showcases the ingenious land and resource management systems with which pre-contact Native Hawaiians created a sustainable ecosystem of abundance. Since its first flower show in 1931, the Garden Club has been held at the Honolulu Museum of Art.
